For the Trade
Recently, the Cherry Marketing Institute (CMI) launched the second year of its trade advertising campaign designed to encourage ingredient decision makers to “Go Red Instead” and boost their new products and menus with cherries, a powerful “Super Fruit” and broadly appealing ingredient.
In 2012, five (5) new executions of one ad campaign will highlight how cherries are a “Red Hot Idea” and will feature their unique flavor, superior health benefits and versatility for product usage – specifically in dried and frozen form. Each execution will showcase a broad-based application for cherries, including a cherry muffin, a cherry yogurt parfait, a breakfast cereal, granola bar and chopped salad topped with dried cherries. Similar to the first year of the campaign, some creative elements have been maintained and coupled with compelling on-trend statistics to further gain a competitive edge and tout the RED advantage of Cherries.
The ads will be featured in targeted food manufacturing and foodservice publications including Food Business News, Food Processing, Food Product Design, Modern Baking and Prepared Foods.
