Tart Cherry Sangria

  • 2 oz. tart cherry reduction*
  • 1 oz. apple cider
  • Non-alcoholic prosecco, for topping
  • Optional garnishes: tart cherries, cinnamon stick, star anise


Add the tart cherry reduction and apple cider to a wine glass with ice. Stir to combine. Fill the glass the rest of the way with non-alcoholic prosecco. Garnish with tart cherries, cinnamon sticks, and star anise if desired. 

*Tart Cherry Reduction 

  • ¼ cup frozen tart cherries 
  • ¼ cup dried tart cherries 
  • 1 cup tart cherry juice concentrate 
  • 1 cup water 
  • 2 cinnamon sticks 
  • 2 star anise 
  • 8 cloves 

Add the frozen tart cherries, dried tart cherries, cherry juice concentrate, water, and spices to a saucepan over medium heat and bring to a simmer. Simmer for 15 minutes, then strain into a storage container. Let cool to room temperature before using.
